Common Pitfalls of AWS Implementations

Presenter: Blaise St-Laurent, Cloud and Architecture Lead Consultant at ZX Security

Over the last two years, ZX Security has been asked to review the AWS Security implementations of customers large and small; this talk will be a quick recap of the most common, most serious and most out-there issues we've found.

Light refreshments will be served at approximately 12.45pm, followed by the IIA NZ session.

IIA NZ Session

Codes of Conduct

Presenter: Kate Salmond, Manager - Standards, Te Kawa Mataaho | Public Service Commission

Te Kawa Mataaho | Public Service Commission (formerly the State Services Commission) will be leading a discussion on Codes of Conduct.

The Public Service Commissioner sets standards of integrity and conduct across the State services to support trust and confidence - the current Standards of Integrity and Conduct (the Code of Conduct for the State services) has been in place since 2007.

The new Public Service Act, which came into force last year, codifies for the first time the purpose, principles and values of the public service. The passing of the legislation provides a timely opportunity to review and refresh the Standards of Integrity and Conduct and associated guidance.

Representatives from the Integrity, Ethics and Standards team are keen to discuss with the group the value of codes of conduct in driving individual and organisational behaviour, and the key ingredients to make a code of conduct a success.

For catering purposes, please register by Tuesday 2 February.

Please note if you are unwell, or have had contact with someone who is unwell, we ask that you do not attend in person.

Thank you to KPMG for hosting the event.
