Internal Audit Manager

A little bit about the company

An NZX-listed business with an international presence and incredible brand! A kiwi company that offers a dynamic and supportive work culture, a hybrid work-from-home model, and plenty of career opportunities. Currently on an upward growth trajectory, this is a business you want to be involved with!

Some more information about the role

This is a wide-scoped Internal Audit Manager position, where you’ll be working across the organisation and reporting into the Head of Internal Audit – a great opportunity to progress your career!

Although you’ll be part of the wider Internal Audit function, you’ll be responsible for running your own audits across a number of different areas of the business, adding a layer of complexity and challenge to this role.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing insightful internal audit reviews and reports, that go beyond stating just the facts – instead you’ll need to provide pragmatic solutions that will assist the business in strengthening its controls, managing its risk, and improving productivity.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Contributing to the Audit and Risk Committee packs and participating in the audit function's annual and strategic planning.

So who are you & what is your profile?

You will be an experienced risk, external or internal audit professional who has a commercial mindset and can easily adapt to the agile working environment. You need to be comfortable with working autonomously and running your own audits. You’ll have a proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, demonstrating excellent influencing skills.

The key requirements to be successful in this role include:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a risk, external or internal audit role, ideally with previous internal audit experience.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to deliver insights and add value to your findings.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, demonstrating excellent influencing skills.
  • Be able to work autonomously and use your own initiative.
  • Financial or accounting qualifications are beneficial.

In return, you’ll be working as part of a small but fun team, receive a salary of $120-150k depending on your experience, plus a number of other benefits, including flexible working.
