What we are looking for

To deliver this we're looking for a dynamic Internal Auditor.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you'll be working closely with teams across the organisation as we share in this exciting digital transformation story, building relationships across the business and working with key stakeholders to ensure the changes are aligned with Tower's customer-centred assurance and risk strategy. Primarily your role will be to support the Internal Audit team to conduct internal audits and follow up audits across NZ and the Pacific.

We value someone with the ability to think and act tactically, multi-task, follow through on audit activities in a timely manner, and adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment. You'll be passionate about the role of the general insurance industry in our community always with a view to ensuring customers are at the heart of all our decisions.

The skills, knowledge and experience you'll need

  • A background in internal audit with at least five years' experience preferred.
  • Top-notch planning and work-ethic combined with engagement skills that enable you to work with anyone.
  • Versatility, agility and empathy; as an internal audit advisor while actively engaging key stakeholders to empower them to make informed decisions in challenging situations.
  • Loads of curiosity, you're known for asking why, you read and have an awesome network of diverse thinkers and doers that spark creativity and innovation to help us unlock a new insurance future.
  • A drive to influence key strategic decisions and get things done with experience of organisational change initiatives and the decision making and engagement activities required to enable these.
  • Good knowledge of organisations operating activities, financial systems, controls and data-based audit techniques.
  • Data analytics and IT information and security expertise preferred (but not essential).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, including analytical ability and report writing skills.
  • Appropriate industry qualification (CIA) preferred.
