Welcome to the IIA NZ's Nationwide Holiday Unity: Celebrating Christmas Spirit, Reflecting on Regional Achievements, and Charting an IA-Focused Future event on Thursday 7 December 2023.

This event marks the last event for IIA NZ for 2023. IIA NZ invites all its members to join in celebrating the holiday season, fostering camaraderie, and uniting our voices in support of internal auditing excellence. No matter where you are in New Zealand, this nationwide event is designed to encourage every IIA NZ member to attend and participate, with a particular focus on internal auditors (IA).

We will host a panel of one IIA NZ board member and our Ambassadors (as an introduction to the membership) in each of our main centres, and as this is a hybrid event, this allows all members to join us in person and or online.

Key points of discussion:

  1. Holiday Celebration: Come together, whether online or in-person, and partake in the year-end celebration. For those joining us in person, relish a delightful Christmas breakfast at our Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch venue locations. Embrace the festive cheer alongside your fellow IIA NZ members and revel in the holiday season's delight. Expect a festive atmosphere, warm receptions, and a chance to relax and enjoy the festivities.
  2. Reflecting on Regional Success: Our regional reflections will not only look back at the year's achievements but will also focus on the key role internal auditors have played in ensuring success. Through interactive discussions, we'll emphasize the vital contributions of IIA NZ members and IA professionals across New Zealand.
  3. Future of Internal Auditing (IA): Hear from our panel speakers in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch as they delve into the future of IA. Explore emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities for internal auditors in the year ahead. This session is tailored to inspire and engage IIA NZ members seeking to excel in the field.
  4. Inclusivity through a Hybrid Experience: The event format ensures that all IIA NZ members, wherever they may be, can actively participate. We encourage IA professionals to engage with the content, connect with peers, and gain insights to bolster their careers.
  5. Next Chapter in February 2024: The event serves as a promising start to the year ahead. In February 2024, we will continue our tradition of empowering internal auditors, promoting collaboration, and celebrating the success of IIA NZ members across the country along with the launch of our new networking complimentary forums for Emerging Auditors and Auditors in Charge.

We will host an online networking session from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, allowing you to connect with fellow online participants of this event.
