The IIA NZ Lunch 'n' Learn Monthly Luncheon serves as a platform for professionals in the field of risk management, internal auditing, and related disciplines to come together, network, and gain valuable insights and knowledge from industry experts. The purpose of these luncheons is to foster collaboration, share best practices, networking opportunities and promote continuous professional development. This event is offered as a hybrid event. Speaker: Michelle Sharp, CEO, UNICEF Aotearoa

We are excited to welcome our distinguished speaker, Michelle Sharp, CEO, UNICEF Aotearoa to our IIA NZ Lunch n Learn November event.

Michelle Sharp's Bio: Michelle Sharp is driven by a dual commitment to business excellence and social change, with a personal mission to create a more inclusive society where no one is left behind. In December 2020, she assumed the role of CEO at UNICEF Aotearoa New Zealand, one of UNICEF's 33 National Committees, dedicated to raising funds for UNICEF's global emergency and development initiatives.

Before her tenure at UNICEF, Michelle served as the CEO of Kilmarnock Enterprises, a groundbreaking social enterprise that focuses on providing education, employment, and opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities. Over 11 years, her dedication to the nonprofit sector allowed her to leverage commercial excellence to showcase the value of individuals with intellectual disabilities to customers and the community.

Michelle's extensive career encompasses over 15 years in the Telecommunications sector, spanning both the UK and Aotearoa. Her roles included serving as Vodafone's Head of Digital Innovation and Head of South Island. She is recognized for her tireless efforts in promoting workplace and leadership diversity. She approaches overcoming barriers as an opportunity to drive meaningful change and is deeply committed to aiding marginalized individuals.

Michelle has held multiple directorships, including positions at Kilmarnock, Nutrient Rescue, and the Akina Foundation & BNZ. She is also a proud Edmund Hillary Fellow and the Treasurer of the Council of International Development. Diversity and inclusion are at the core of her endeavours, as she passionately strives to create transformative impact for people, the planet, and profit.

Online Networking: Prior to the commencement of the welcoming remarks and the speaker's presentation at 12:30 pm, we're organising a virtual lunch chat room session. You'll have the chance to engage with fellow online attendees and get into the networking spirit!

We will providing two separate Team meeting invites for your convenience. The first Team invite will connect you to the chat room lunch session, where you can interact with all the online participants over lunch. The second Team invite is reserved for the main speaker presentation and the ensuing Q&A session.

The online session link will be sent to online delegates the day prior, along with background material for the sessions registered.
