Assurance Advisor, Accident Compensation Corporation

Full time fixed term contract to 29 June 2018

We are seeking an Assurance Advisor to work across Risk and Assurance Services whilst current role holders are on secondment.

The Assurance Advisor reports to the Principal Assurance Manager. They will carry out assurance advisory and compliance audits, reporting on a day to day basis to an Assurance or Risk Manager. They may also support other senior staff who lead audits. The successful applicant will have at least three years’ internal audit experience, and hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in a financial or business discipline. They will be comfortable working independently, carrying out reviews of end to end processes to test the strength of controls and to identify opportunities for efficiency. The work will involve testing transactions, completing work papers to a high standard, and writing clear and concise reports.

The successful applicant will have good relationship skills, with the ability to work effectively with management to agree actions to address any issues they identify.
