Are you a dedicated Learning and Development (L&D) professional with a proven track record in training programme development and delivery? 

The Institute of Internal Auditors New Zealand (IIA NZ), a prominent name in the realm of internal auditing, is seeking an enthusiastic External Training Contractor to lead the creation and implementation of our new IIA NZ Training Programme. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the training landscape for Internal Auditors while contributing to the growth of our organisation.

Role Overview: As an External Training Contractor specialising in training programme development, you will be responsible for executing our new IIA NZ Training Programme under the guidance of the IIA NZ National Office. This role involves designing engaging training modules, crafting learning materials, and delivering effective training sessions tailored to internal auditors' needs and at varying levels within the profession. Collaborating closely with the IIA NZ Education Committee, you will ensure the training content aligns with the latest industry trends and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive IIA NZ Training Programme for internal auditors.
  • Design engaging training materials, resources, and assessments.
  • Deliver impactful training sessions that effectively communicate complex concepts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices to integrate into training content.
  • Collaborate with internal audit professionals to identify training needs.
  • Evaluate and refine training effectiveness for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and records.
  • Working with IIA NZ National office to concerning the executive of the new Training Programme.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary degree or relevant business experience.
  • Learning and Development methodology experience.
  • Adult Education qualification and experience.
  • Strong background in internal auditing or exposure to auditing practices/standards.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering impactful training programs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt training content to diverse skill levels.
  • Hybrid training proficient.
  • Competency with Microsoft Suite (Word, PPT, and Excel, etc)
  • Certification in Internal Auditing (CIA) or relevant experience in or with Internal Auditing is preferred but not mandatory.
