IIA-Australia Survey: Unfavorable Reports Lead to Pressure

An internal auditor survey by IIA-Australia found 14% of respondents saying they have faced retaliation for internal audit reports that note shortcomings. Such retaliation includes bullying by colleagues and termination, the survey shows, and leadership action includes pressure to decrease audits or to revise a finalized report.
