As we conclude our 40th Anniversary year, a milestone celebrating four decades of excellence and growth since becoming an Incorporated Society, the Institute of Internal Auditors New Zealand (IIA NZ) is pleased to share details of our 2026 Membership Renewal and reaffirm the enduring value of belonging to our professional community.

At the IIA NZ Board Strategy Day on 3 November 2025, the Board approved a modest membership fee increase to support continued investment in our education, advocacy, and member initiatives for the coming year, while remaining mindful of the current economic environment. With CPI sitting at 3% over the past year, the Board applied a smaller 2.4% increase, keeping the Full Membership fee below $600.

2026 Membership Fees

  • Group Members: Fees will be determined by the applicable group category. Please refer to the Membership Fees webpage for full details.
  • Full Members: NZD $599.00
  • Associate Members: NZD $475.00
  • Overseas Members: NZD $475.00
  • Student Members: no change
  • Joining Fee: NZD $50.00 per person, no change

All fees are in NZ dollars and exclude GST, along with any third-party fees, including credit card surcharges or international payment processing fees.

  • The IIA NZ 40th Anniversary Conference Week at Te Papa Tongarewa and Parliament.
  • Our nationwide Xmas Unity Events and ongoing Ethics, Data Analytics, and Learning Lab workshops.
  • A significant uplift in our advocacy submissions advancing the voice of internal audit across Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific.

Looking ahead to 2026, we remain focused on strengthening and advancing the internal audit profession, including exploring potential Chartered pathways to further recognise professional excellence and enhance standards across the sector.
