PASAI Integrity Webinar: Pacific Perspectives on Integrity, International Anti-Corruption Day

  • Friday 5 December from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm (NZT)
  • Zoom

To mark International Anti-Corruption Day, this session will highlight the role of Pacific integrity agencies in promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance across the region.

Corruption undermines development, erodes public trust and confidence, and weakens institutions. This year's international theme Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow's Integrity, reminds us that integrity is not only about protecting what we have but shaping and influencing what comes next.

The discussion will be hosted by Deputy Auditor-General of New Zealand Andrew McConnell, and provides an opportunity to hear from regional leaders and practitioners about the challenges they face, the progress they've made, and their approaches in helping build more resilient, future-ready public sectors in the Pacific.

Our panellist include:

  • Fuaifaleoleaigasalevalasi V. Clarence Warren, Principal Auditor for the Public Bodies/Enterprises Audit Division, Samoa Audit Office
  • Julie Haggie, Executive Director, Transparency International New Zealand
  • Marie Pegie Cauchois, Pacific UNODC Regional Anti-Corruption Advisor, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
  • Rose Rehm, Manager Detection and Prevention, Serious Fraud Office, New Zealand

This event is led by Office of the Auditor-General of New Zealand but forms part of the advocacy and good governance program of the PASAI.
