Risk and Assurance Manager

The role

The Risk and Assurance Manager will:

  • Have a strong risk and assurance focus
  • Be responsible for leading the coordination of organisation-wide assurance activity
  • Work at a high level of independence and effectiveness in terms of planning and managing the assurance effort
  • Provide third-line assurance for all assurance activities across the organisation - including quality and compliance
  • Be responsible for risk coordination and advice, and championing business improvement initiatives
  • Present authoritatively to the CE, the ELT and board

Who we are looking for

This role is perfect for someone looking to gain further exposure to the Finance Audit & Risk Committee (FAR) and take a step up in their career. You will be widely trusted, know how organisations work, and be influential in getting things done. To be successful in this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide range of customers and key stakeholders
  • Work without close supervision; plan and manage own workload effectively
  • Have at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in audit/performance improvement/risk
  • Be able to communicate with different audiences at all organisation levels
  • Have strong report writing skills
  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification or professional qualification, for example, Certified Internal Auditor
