Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As Senior Audit Adviser you will join our Audit and Risk Division, which provides independent assurance, risk and integrity services and advice to the CEO, Audit and Risk Committee and management.

The Division assesses the effectiveness of the Ministry's people, structures, systems and processes in New Zealand and overseas, and also facilitates risk management within the Ministry. The Division is well regarded in the Ministry for its practical and responsive approach and application of sound judgement, which focuses on helping the Ministry to achieve its objectives.

In this role you will:

  • work with the Internal Audit Manager in the development and delivery of the Ministry's Assurance Plan
  • provide advice to managers across the Ministry to help maintain a robust control environment
  • conduct audits that improve our processes both in Wellington and at our offshore offices
  • manage the Ministry's fraud awareness and response programme

The appointment range for this role is $95,500 to $118,000 per annum including employer contribution to KiwiSaver. This may be negotiable depending on experience.
