New CEO Announcement

It is with pleasure that we introduce Sally Dunbar as the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Internal Auditors New Zealand (IIA NZ).

Sally brings strong membership association experience, ISO9001 accreditation, and a track record of driving sponsorship and partnership relationships. She brings over 10 years' experience in various senior management, governance, and operational roles.

Sally takes over the role in March 2023 from Steve Downes who is retiring after 9 years leading The Institute.

Sally says "I am deeply honoured and grateful to have been selected as the next CEO of IIA NZ. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the Board and the entire IIA NZ community for placing their trust in me and providing me with this incredible opportunity.

I am committed to working diligently to ensure that we continue to provide exceptional service and value to our members and to promote the growth and success of the internal audit profession in New Zealand.

I believe that the future of IIA NZ is bright, and I am eager to work collaboratively with the Board, our Committees, and all of our members to build upon our achievements and take our profession to new heights. I look forward to meeting and working with each of you and contributing to the continued success of IIA NZ.
