Welcome to the Institute of Internal Auditors New Zealand, the professional body for internal auditing
EVENT DETAILS: Jennifer Porter, a Christchurch woman, was founder, chief executive and a majority shareholder of tech company Create Prime Limited. In 2021, Porter misappropriated $215,000 entrusted to her by an investor, redirecting the funds to her personal account under false pretenses of a bank account restructuring. Despite assurances, the money was spent on personal expenses like credit card payments and home improvements, rather than company needs. Porter's actions led to significant financial distress for investors and the company was ultimately removed from the Companies Register. We are delighted to have four key individuals involved in the case present to us, providing a multi-lens view: We are pleased to be able to offer this event as both online and in person.
