Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the IIA NZ 40th Anniversary Conference 2025, delegates (online and in-person), speakers, panellists, partners, volunteers, and supporters. Your energy, insights, and commitment helped make this milestone event an inspiring success.

A special thank you to all those who travelled from across Aotearoa and overseas to be part of this celebration. Your presence added a truly global dimension to our 40th Anniversary and strengthened the professional bonds that connect us across borders.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors and partners, including Premier Sponsor – Diligent, and Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY, DataSnipper, and Workiva whose generous support and collaboration helped bring this event to life. This year promises to bring fresh opportunities for growth, innovation, and professional development. We are thrilled to offer a range of initiatives tailored to professionals at every stage of their career, from Emerging Internal Auditors to Heads of Internal Audit. To stay informed, regularly check our IIA NZ Event Calendar, and register early to make the most of these valuable opportunities.

As the new year begins, so does our membership year. Membership renewal invoices were sent to all existing 2024 members in December. We wish to thank those who have already paid promptly – as a not-for-profit organisation, your support is invaluable.

If you have any questions about your membership invoice, please contact Shannon Conaglen, IIA NZ Operations Manager, at admin@iianz.org.nz. Please ensure all renewals are paid before the end of February. We will send reminders and reach out to those we haven’t heard from regarding their renewal.

We look forward to connecting, engaging, and continuing to strengthen our profession together in this exciting year.

Ngā mihi nui,
The IIA NZ Team

The Membership Renewal Process for 2025 has now been completed.

On 5 October 2023, the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 came into force, modernising how societies must operate. To remain incorporated, existing societies are required to reregister under the 2022 Act. It’s essential for members to understand the reregistration process and the potential consequences of not completing it. Societies will need to prepare specific documents and may need to adopt new processes to comply and re-register with the Act before 5 April 2026.

The draft IIA NZ Constitution has been available to members since 1 October, with a member review period open until 1 December. To access the draft IIA NZ Constitution, please visit the member portal at
https://www.iianz.org.nz/Site/my-iia/, then navigate via your My IIA portal > Toolbox. You can also access the current Rules and By-Laws from our website, here >> https://www.iianz.org.nz/Site/about-us/.

We will also be hosting two member-only online workshops to answer questions and support members through the review process. To register for these workshops, please visit the IIA NZ website here >>
https://www.iianz.org.nz/tools/events/list.aspx?SECT=events.

If you would like to submit any feedback on the draft IIA NZ Constitution, please send it to ceo@iianz.org.nz by 1 December 2024, when the member review period concludes.
